    hi all

I'm looking for a few objective opinions about A2 see being one of the only free Anti Trojans for win 98 that are actualy still supported I'm some what limited in my choice as I don't have the cash for a payed AT at the moment

so I'm wondering if its worth getting ??
how it fairs in testing ??
how it matches up to other scanners out there o_O

Bethrezen, I too use A2 free. As far as I can tell it does a pretty good job
    scanning.
I haven't been using it for long yet though, so I'm still learning about this program myself.

The con is: No background guard with the free version.

So basically all you can do is scan on demand....just like you would scan
with let's say Ad-Aware for spyware etc.

It will then of course NOT prevent infection of a trojan.

    Hey Bethrezen,

I have moved your thread to our trojan software forum....where it might see more action.

    Hello Bethrezen,
I use it, but I have not had it long. It seems to function well. There does seem to be a shortage of trojan testing going these days. I do use it together with BoClean which is actively watching all the time with no scanning ability. Sorry not to be of more help, but I am still looking it over myself. :doubt:

It is a good anti-trojan. It may not be quite as good as TDS, but not bad at all for a freebie. I wouldn't rely on it to detect keyloggers though, but for trojan detection it's not bad. Make sure you have a really good antivirus and antispyware apps too like Ad-aware, Spybot, Winpatrol, SpywareBlaster, X-cleaner ect.....all free and will work with Win 98.
