Wikipedia is a nigh-essential source of information, but it's usually so accessible in Western countries that users forget when it isn't. Take Turkey, which blocked its citizens from accessing the site in April and rejected an appeal when the Wikimedia Foundation refused to play ball with the government, part of its wider effort to silence online dissent. For citizens in similar countries that crack down on users accessing the free online encyclopedia, there's a new version those governments hopefully can't track -- which operates on the dark web, naturally.

They will just quietly block access to the dark web servers.
Error 404 Web Page Not Found.
Hardly anyone will notice as the accessable internet slowly shrinks until it becomes just another corporate controlled propaganda media.

Searching The Dark Web For Business Intelligence

At the RSA Conference in San Francisco in April, Silobreaker, an intelligence platform, shared their partnership with Flashpoint, a company that delivers business risk intelligence, in a luncheon presentation. The two companies spoke jointly about the need for businesses to navigate the closed communities of the Dark Web, understand how adversaries operate, and separate rumor from reality.

The two companies use open-source intelligence (OSINT) from public sources as opposed to covert or hidden activities. On the searchable internet, OSINT would consist of posts on twitter and other social media for intelligence. OSINT on the Dark Web consists of memberships in various forums.
