When I type something in the address bar, a "History Search" list of previous visited addresses pops up:

    opera_HistorySearch.jpg

Does anyone know where this list is stored?

A search of the Help file online found a reference to a data base, but not its location.

I know it is not the typed_history.xml file, nor the global_history.dat file.

    Thanks,

If the yellow star is displayed in the front of a line, then it should be a result of a search in your bookmarks.

Thank you! That's it. How did you know that?

In Chrome i have to click on a star-icon to bookmark a website, and the bookmark manager has also a star-icon.
If a yellow star is displayed in front of a search result, it must be a bookmark. :)

How about that! I see that Opera also has a star icon (never noticed before).

I use mostly keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl + D for bookmarking) -- rarely use the mouse.
