lynchknot - Just to confirm, running v2.5 of SU, there are no streams associated with it (checked again with ADSSpy, CrucialADS and TDS-3) when out of SM, either.

As far as the left-over ads tags from Kaspersky goes - I take it you un-installed the program after it froze up your computer? Before trying to remove the "left-overs"? (Because that's the correct way to do it).

Both KAV and SysInternals offer "stream remover" utilities to handle tag removal:

http://www.excessive-software.tk/ (look for the "NTFS Streams Eraser 1.2" d/l)

http://www.kaspersky.com/faq?qid=156666512 (look for the "Klstreamremover.zip" at the bottom of that page).

Bruce - Yeah, let us know what you find after the un-install of SS - it should be a good indicator. On a side-note, I really don't understand why the "Hibernation" question I put on their forum hasn't been addressed yet. I've sent a second email to someone else in the organization to try to get a response there.

And, you don't have to be "sorry for stepping in" - this thread is wide-open for any kind of question/remark concerning SS or SU, trial version or not. Pete
