I have just downloaded the new version. My question is when downloading from a trusted site such as Windows do you need to disable IMON and AMON? What is the suggestion?

I was under the impression that you are supposed to disable your AV when downloading. Or is it updating after downloading?

I am yet to find a program that requires this with Nod32.

Wait I stand corrected, there is Norton Password Manager, found this out last night on another thread:

I've never had a problem leaving NOD running. Even while defragging with Perfect Disk, it just cranks up and goes unlike any other antivirus I've used.

Thank you all for the replies. A lot of programs tell you to shut off your AV when you download and install. So I was just wondering. o_O
