A definitive guide for installing Nod32 on a Windows Small Business Server

    Nod32 has guides on deploying each of the individual components on various Windows servers, but these guides are independent of each other and don't address;

    • What components need to be installed
    • The order the components need to be installed
    • Properly configuring each component
    • Managing client updates
    • Configuring alerts to a designated person
    • Address how to update components when future releases are availbale

    It would be nice if Nod32 produced a whitepaper on the proper installation of their products on a Small Business Server.

    It's pretty much the same as straight up Enterprise Edition install....and management, such as with BlackSpears guide. Local antivirus/LAN update mirror/RAS/RAC...
    Except..you're adding the XMON component for Exchange.
    I disable "background scanning" from XMON
    And follow these exclusions...standard for any brands of antivirus on SBS

    I also disable EMON and DMON...unload them. IMON is auto-disabled by default when NOD installs on a server OS.
