You had a crook install HERE so given this, I would follow the instructions in that thread and complete a fresh install.

    Cheers :D

Here it is the screenshot as you want . However , you are stongly advised to reinstall NOD32 as suggested by Blacksprear . The procedure is easy and fast to do and will fix any possible problems you may have :p

You don't need to get into Safe Mode to reinstall NOD32
Safe Mode is Windows function so you may want to reinstall Windows as well . Hope I can help :thumb:

Yes, i understand...i was attempting to get into safe mode to unstall, as the uninstall file is missing. I was hoping to do it piece meal ( one bit at a time ).
When you write about reinstalling "Windows" are you meaning the OS ?

By typing Windows , yes, I mean Windows XP Operating system (OS) .
Is NOD's uninstall file missing ? When NOD32 uninstall file is missing simply download the correct installer of NOD32 from www.eset.com/download/registered_software.php and install it over the existing NOD installation . This is replace all missing files . Restart

    Then reinstall NOD32 :

    1) Download a fresh copy of NOD32 for your correct operating system
    Full paid version

    2) Goto Control Panel-> Add/Remove programs and Uninstall NOD32

    3) Reboot

    4) Goto C:\Program files and manually delete the folder ESET

    5) Install NOD32 from the file you just downloaded in step 1
    Use Typical settings

    6) Make sure you have stable i-net connection and NOD32 (nodkrn.exe) is allowed to go through your firewall and Update NOD

    7) Configure NOD32 as shown here

Hope that helps . Although it is off-topic , consider reinstalling Windows if you have such problems . Formatting the hard drive will fix your problems and I am sure we all fancy fresh Windows :D ;)

Yeah, sounds like it. If you can't boot into safe mode then something is wrong with your operating system. You could try a system repair by booting from your windows installation disk and selecting repair. If that doesn't sort it then back up anything you don't want to lose and reformat.

    Hello Rainwalker,
You should be able to follow step 1 from Blackspears suggestion, re-install over your current NOD32 to replace the missing files and then you should be able to follow from step 2 onwards as Blackspear has suggested.

    HTH

    Cheers :)
