4.2.40 SS kills connections to local network

    After installing 4.2.40 on PC all my PC type devices on my network are no longer visible in windows 7/vista network screen under "Computers" yet my 2 other PCs show up; they were all there prior to 4.2.40

    My 2 ReadyNAS units and my 6 Popcorn Hours show in "Media Devices" though, so they are being seen. The Nas units I have short cuts to which still work, but none of these show in the "Computers" area, where they need to be to open for file transfers.

    Edit: Looks like this may have something to do with a windows update as uninstalling ESS does not fix the problem
