I prefer to use different software for my security setup, I'm using an old version of Comodo Firewall with 360TS plus other software on my Win7 and they all seem to be getting along very fine.
Hi, I am using Comodo Firewall 5.10 and also Comodo Time Machine 2.9beta for many years. All fine with me !
Yeah, 5.10 seems to be the best of other versions. Comodo FW and Comodo TM is a great combo indeed! ... sorry for off-topic though ...
Does any one have information about possible support for the SlimJet Browser in 360 TS Essentials. I have the browser extension installed in Firefox, but SlimJet ( My main browser. ) is still not supported? ( Despite the fact that I asked for it in the past through online feedback. )
Hi all 360 Total Security 8.0.0.1047 is now available Fixed: Bug fixes http://www.360totalsecurity.com/en/version/ http://www.360totalsecurity.com/en/features/360-total-security/ With best Regards Mops21
Interrogative: What is it that you would like to see updated in TSE? Are there unresolved bugfixed, or a feature not working, or wishlist for a new one?
As mentioned in my previous post, support for the SlimJet browser so that the 360 browser extension can be used with the SlimJet Browser. ( And since it is a Chromium clone , that should not be difficult for Qihoo to add. )
TS had bug fixes that TSE doesn't yet have as well as added compression file format support. TSE lags behind TS in updates; they should both be updated at the same time.
I agree with you, but it seems that Qihoo would prefer that people use TS instead of TSE. It's a shame, because while I like TSE a lot (aside from the issues with false positives), I have no time for TS. I use TSE from time to time, and have installed it on a number of computers for users wanting a free antivirus, I would never do that same for TS, due to its agressive optimisation which wants to disable things such as the System Restore scheduled task. Of course, you can whiltelist items, but, the average user it just going to let TS remove whatever it wants to without realising it may be disabling useful tasks.
I have had trouble running TinyWall or Windows Firewall Control 4, but I am having great luck with Windows 10 Firewall Control along with 360.
Very informative post for others to know, thank you! As for TSE, I'll try to push the issue with browser compatibility and faster BD/AV updates. Also German language. As soon as I have something, I'm reporting back.
Not every day, but when I download a software program that I have never used before then I use the sandbox function. So personally I think it has it use, just not all the time.

Hi @GakunGak I have 2 questions for you about the 360 Total Security 8.0.0.1058 1. My definitions Update is not working but when a new Version is out that are worked via the internal updater perfectly. Can you check this please 2. When I use patch up it says intelligent auto ignoring. Can you check this please I use Windows 8.1 64 bit system with all Windows Updates installiert With best Regards Mops21
1: If I got this correctly, auto update for definitions is not working, but when manually checking for updates, it works? 2: Auto ignoring for some updates is OK. Not EVERYTHING in the list needs to be installed, just updates that are compatible with your particular system. That's why there is auto ignore in the first place. Windows Update and Patchup can coexist together and complement each other, so no worries. It is working as intended.
1. I mean when I check for program Updates that worked but it does not work for definitions updates. See my Picture into the black circles when i click on that for check for updates With best Regards Mops21
BD/AV are not installed as far as I can see. So there is nothing to update. To have them installed, but not running in realtime, in Virenscan click on BD and AV icon and there is a slider to activate them both. Then they will get installed and will be updated, but if you are on Balanced mode, they will not go realtime, unless you switch to security profile. Or, to enable them quick, switch to security profile and then back to balanced. After a while they will download and install, which their color icon should be visible [not grey as they are now].
