I've done that but its is ignoring the whitelist. Edit: my bad only excluded Steam on one drive it was detecting the file on my SSD. VictorVranSteam.exe ...is a false positive
Adding a few dozen files isn't practical--especially since they will be flagged again when these files are updated, which is pretty regularly. QVM needs a toggle or, better still, a sensitivity slider. Until the FPs are under control, I can't call 360 usable.
I hadn't considered that files would be updated. I think there is the option to ignore changes to the files, when you add them to the ignore list. I'm not using 360 TS currently so may be wrong.
I had only two games installed because I had done a clean install of Win 10, Victor Vran main exe is being pinged as a trojan and that is still happening I have taken the time to uploaded the file via your report tool. The other game was Cities Skylines and Mono.exe which from what I can gather is something to do with Unity game engine was being reported as a trojan as well however after scanning this morning that isn't still happening. My opinion here is the report tool feels clunky, I had to zip the file, then go take a screenie of the virus scan report then fill in a dumb Captcha, also I don't know if its just me but it took me ages to find the settings button inside 360 maybe I'm getting old.
The bug that I reported with Chrome64 and Total Security (not checking downloads) happens with Chrome 32 bits too, but with some minor differences. With 32 bits Chrome, TS 360 will scan everything minus executable files (major flaw).
Dear @Set and @Nightwalker , thank you, this feedback is very valuable. I will let you know the details back when I have them, thank you.
Guys... I have essential, Avira is updating, I can see vdf files being downloaded.. But my BD engine is stuck to last manual update I did in July... Anyone help me get going with it plz...
Hi, if the vdf files don't update automatically, you can use off-line def. update files : Avira - http://free.360totalsecurity.com/vdb/360TS_VDB_Avira.exe Bitdefender - http://free.360totalsecurity.com/vdb/360TS_VDB_BD.exe James
Supported OS: Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1, Windows 10 (32-bit, 64-bit). Changes in 360 Total Security 7.2.0.1053 (September 3, 2015): * Fixed: Bug fixes http://int.down.360safe.com/totalsecurity/360TS_Setup.exe
Is it usual for Total Security Essentials to not give any info on files detected? I installed this on my parents PC as their Bitdefender Total Security license was running out & is too expensive to renew. Removed BDTS & rebooted then ran the BD uninstall tool to make sure all traces were gone then rebooted again & installed 360 TSE. Did a system scan & it found two things in the system settings scan, one was me disabling the IE homepage setting to save them getting any dodgy homepage but the second said it was a malicious file but didn't give any info on the file like the name or location. Even checked the logs but that didn't mention the file name or location either.
Yes I too find no info on some detections like system anamolies or something... how do one check whats detected?

If you download & install Bd offline signs & enable both manual/realtime scan... is a system restart required for Bd to work? Coz I am testing in Shadow Defender & after installing Bd offline updates & enabling manual/realtime Bd is not detecting the harmless samples that most AVs including Bd & 360 detects at VT. 360 detects fine but Bd doesn't. I tested Bd with net disconnected as Bd is for offline protection too. Harmless samples are from the site testmypcsecurity. Samples are trojansimulator, delete.
If you need 360 to used both engines in real time you will have to run 360 in security mode, not balance or custom mode. Look up to the top left hand side of 360 & press on the lightning bolt to configure it.
I thought I would give TSE another try again. I had used it months ago. It really seems to be light and very effective. In fact, it is the only security program that I have tested that will block webcam logging on Windows 10. Even Zemana and SpyShelter failed.
