Sorry to stray off the current topic on this product, but is the HIPS portion of this product 32bit only or something? Because when running this product on my win7 64bit machine while running CLT i never got a single alert.

Thanks trjam. Perhaps I'm being over cautious or maybe even paranoid, I do like the software and I have run it once for a few days, it ran great and I was impressed. I wish I could feel I trusted Q360 but at the moment I'm on the fence. Thanks for the info :thumb:

Same. Also, it seems the download protection does not work if file protection is disable.

I do get alerts on Win 8 x64 sometimes, when installing software. But certain features like keylogger protection are x86 only.

According to the email i received from 360 support, the cloud scanner is responsible for scanning downloaded material and cant be turned off as its options are greyed out in the 360 GUI.Although no internet connection will essentially turn it off.If anything gets detected by the cloud scanner its auto quarantined with out the ability of user input. The cloud detection should work whether the resident scanner is enabled or not assuming the engine is ticked. One thing im not sure of at present as i dont have 360 installed( and didnt check when i did)is whether the cloud scanner scans zips or compressed stuff on download or leaves that for the resident scanner when opening the compressed file?

Not sure about this one here though. It worked fine for me. :)

I noted that if you right click and disable it only disables the file protection so I had to disable everything except proactive defense and webcam protection and I tried it out and on-demand scanner detected it with no problems.

I agree that I havent seen webguard move a inch on my tests, dont know why:'(

OK I know this is outdated, but anyway.

But,sinceAntiMalware18 was having problems.I tested 360 IS against CLT and check this out.

290/340...pretty good IMO,considering the fact that this tool doesnt do any deeper tests since its outdated :)

And I did get alerts and 1 alert from proactive defense I remember it told me that it is some critical attack and it got blocked automatically and I remember I had to click block like only 4 to 5 times (or even less) and the rest were blocked automatically and I had only a small notification coming in the side of what is going on and because QIhoo proactive defense has a very stern alert and plus the fact it sets 30 seconds time and then if not prompted with a action it automatically blocks it for you,I give it my kudos.

Also Initially when I tested it,I got a error on Invasion:Runner test and for the rest I tested it against one of the MBR rootkits like Whistler,Sinowal, many old and new Zaccess varients that do lot damage that CLT tests includes and many other samples and proactive defense was successful so it looks like raw disk access and the rest isnt a problem because it seems like yes qiho is vulnerable Qihoo can block most invasions in-depth .

Guess what,on this test Qihoo beats comodo because comodo got less scores and plus rootkit installation vulnerability for comodo came to be vulnerable even though CIS had just like Qihoo had in depth protection and blocked all rootkits fine. Also I noted that the explorer impersonation vulnerability in comodo that CLT tests out and that was being reported on comodo forum as a bypass by some malware varients was finely blocked by 360 IS.Honestly,I tried it out on x64 system with same results.

Another reason I choose this over the over-rated and fanboy flooded comodo,Just my opinion. ;)

    Oh also @AntiMalware18,@zfactor
I think there is something wrong with you guys' installations as all your flaws that I noted were proved negative in my tests.

Overall only I thing I would love to say:
360 IS even above internet security.

Wow, I just noticed I haven't logged in since 2010. lol I however visit often, blast my lurking.

I just wanted to post my praises for this program which I was on the fence about trying since it's Chinese and some of their storied viral history has left an aftertaste in my mouth. I don't personally know Easter but value his opinions after having read his posts here for many years and seeing him behind this software a few weeks ago was enough for me to give it a go.

I must say the hype I've read behind Qihoo is real. It is very lightweight and gets the job done incredibly well and efficiently! Honestly I've not seen anything so efficient and beautiful and I'm a hardcore Comodo guy! I wouldn't call myself a fanboy of any product, but I'm a firm believer in Comodo, still am, and this program struck a chord with me! I'm a little off put by the "ZhuDongFangYu.exe" task as it seems a bit unprofessional to me, but then again who am i or anyone else to set the professional standards. When a program behaves and functions this well it speaks for itself.

That being said, I sure hope this standard at Qihoo continues as It has been a long time since I've even ran a security program, but with it being this lightweight and efficient, how can I afford not to? Thanks for taking the time out to read my post!

So, after a restart today proactive defense and right click scan detection is now working, and I have to say that my earlier analysis is accurate. I love this AV:)

I ran a test on 360 internets ecurity, baidu antivirus, comodo firewall and online armor with CLT leak test on my VM. here are the result.

My VM is win 7 ultimate 64bit. I disabled the windows firewall to be more accurate and have used highest setting for all of them.

    CLT TEST SCORE:
    -360 internet security: 210 out of 340
-Baidu Antivirus: 210 out of 340
-Comodo firewall: 310 out of 340
-Online Armor free: 340 out of 340 (PERFECT)

    Hope this answers your question.

Proactive Defense seems to be completely dependent on Cloud Connection. When Internet is off proactive doesnt work. When Net is on it does....This is a risk IMO. To me they need to blend Cloud protection and resident (Bitdefender, Proactive defense resident) and everything else cloud.

I'm currently running 360 with Online Armor v1830 and its really light. It kills the CLT test. :)

It seems to me like if you disable protection, all other functions will not work.

Thanks zfactor and antimalware18,getting really interesting now :D

AntiMalware,I am not sure about that, but I tested proactive defense with internet off yesterday with clt and it worked fine :)

zfactor,do you still have issues with pop ups?

@Kelvin I am not sure but I can confirm turning off real time doesnt cripple all other functions from all my tests.

I am running 360 free + MBAM Pro and it is a awesome combo
