Wew! Glad I read this thread, the link, and saw Chubb's attached pic. There for a second, I thought that it meant 25% of the REGULAR PRICE...not the "regular renewal rate"!

If you would like to buy a first time new license for Outpost at a discount off the regular price of USD39.95, you MAY try this, but not sure if Agnitum is still offering discount this way:

(1) Download the Outpost free firewall, which is at version 1.0 at

http://www.agnitum.com/products/outpostfree/download.php

You are required to put in your name and e-mail to download the software

(2) 10 days later, you MAY receive an e-mail from Agnitum offering a discount for a 1 year license if you upgrade from the free version to the Pro version and you must act within 48 hours. The discount was 50% (USD19.95) in July 06.

Some companies like CyberLink, Intervideo, Corel or Diskeeper will give you a special discount after you have download their trial version. Not sure if Agnitum is still offering the big discount for the upgrade from free to Pro version now. You may give it a try.
