    Hi

    Before I buy Acronis TI, I would like to know two things about it.

    First, If I make a full hard drive image to dvd's, with 15GB's of data on my hard drive, how many drd-r's and dvd-rw will it take? I read TI compresses the data that's why I'm asking.

    Second, If my computer (a single home computer) has two internal hard drives, with two seperate OS's on each, will Acronis TI protect both?

    Thanx.

    A quick response on question number one - IT DEPENDS !

    I have two systems - Desktop and Laptop. Desktop runs windows XP PRo
    Laptop runs Windows XP home. Both are at SP2 level

    This is what I get when burning to DVD's at the Acronis "HIGH" Compression

    Desktop = 27.24gb -> 5 DVD's
    Laptop = 12.92gb -> 3 DVD's

    The last dvd for both systems are less than 1/2 full

    For your second question, you didn't say what OS/s you are running but you could easily backup OS1 to OS2's disk and vice versa. You could then burn the TI image files to your DVD's from either system.

    You can directly burn to DVD's but you will need third party software.
