1- can i set it to not re quarantine a file after restoring it? when it quarantines a file and i click restore it immediately re-quarantines it. can i set it to not re-quarantine the file? kind of like if i tell it to restore it will then exclude that file?? in the help file it says once you restore it the item should not be re-detected but im seeing it is doing this. 2- how do i set it to ask before auto removing a file. in digging through the settings i see a few possible things but what would be the correct way or is there one?? i want to know there is a detection but want to have the choice to remove it or not, i use some files for testing and its annoying at times when it auto deletes something on me. thank you
Here are three things to help: TH The file could be already listed here just set to Allow or Monitor. Uncheck and save all.
so no way to add a folder to the "exceptions" i have to allow each file by itself?? this should 100% be added in the future PLEASE it would be far easier to add a whole folder than having to add each file one by one. then the list will end up so long imo it will be a pain to keep track on certain files. dont get me wrong still really like wsa just a few quirks that im not fond of so far. i wish there was a way to have it set to user decision like a pop up that asks what to do. the way it is it works GREAT for as average user but for someone more advanced i really would like a prompt to ask me to allow or deny a file upon detection.
Yes that is correct because if you were able to do a whole folder it could be a place where malware could hide and leave a security hole but if it is because of not a well known program (files) just contact support with the lines from a scan log to get them whitelisted but if it's true malware put them in a Password Protected Zip file then they will not be detected anymore. The feature has been mentioned many times but rejected for the reason above. Sorry, TH
It has to set files to Allow when it restores them from quarantine, otherwise it will just remove them immediately right after. You can alternatively just use Detection Configuration and just change it back to Block.
