I read somewhere that the virus-definition updates are supposed to be really small (like 20kb), but everytime I try to update it downloads 2mb of stuff...
this is not very cool on a dialup-line....whats is it doing? how do I make it only update the virus definitions?
using version 2.12.2 on windows xp

In the trial version the cumulative pattern updates are downloaded since the trial was installed. In the paid version, incremental pattern updates are downloaded.

    I hope this helps.

When you first install the trial the definitions are about two weeks old, so it has to download around 2MB. After the first uprade the definitions are the same size.

I used to have dial up and use the free trial, it would update while I was doing somthing else on the net an I wouldn't even notice.
