I am (I even happen to work for Opera Software). No problems so far. I am always wary of anti virus software that could potentially change Opera M2's mail storage files. If I encounter problems I will post it here of course.

    Surfing is fast...fast....fast... again.

My PC was one of the few....that the old NODs slowed down to a crawl.

I was very tempted to try DRWeb, but I gotta say...I'm sure smiling now.

I did have to do an uninstall to get it to update...But other than that

All I can say is....WOW WOW WOW

For some reason I had to confirm again my Licence-info while just trying to get an update.
Maybe something on my end, I don't know.
I am using the licence-key which I bought almost a year ago (still a month to go before buying a new one if I remember me well).
    I'm on W 98 SE.

Am I the only one who disables the splash screen?

    Definitely not nameless ;)

One of the reasons I prefer the expert-mode-installation.

Great software I've been using it on my TabletPC for a few weeks now, if I had a complaint it would be the UI doesn't see the switch between landscape and portrait so it ends up falling off the screen

    Other than that very good!

In the IMON Server compatibility list, one can add the same site over and over again. Just a little gliche. Only 1 per site should be allowed. ;)

Until now it seems that everything are fine... :D

I only have problems with my theme that doesn't show the "NOD32" title in the main window and the other subtitles in the secondaries windows...

What submission? I was talking about enabling AH in On-Demand (NOD32).
When you enable AH you get popup about higher possibility of false positives and blabla... I ticked do not show that warning again and when i disabled and tried to enable AH again igot the same message again.

Also about that repeated EICAR warnings. I haven't seen such weird thing with older versions of NOD32. Also other files appear to be blocked normally (tried with some known infected keygen on some site). Could be Firefox 1.0.3 related, but i can't try on pre-1.0.3 versions anymore...

OK, I read it too quickly. Ayway, even the AH pop-up window doesn't show up after disabling futher display of the window anymore.

I just noticed if you are downloading email and the NOD32 Downloading pop up is showing in the lower RH corner of the screen, and the download indicator is running and you lose a connection, or you close the email application, the NOD32 Downloading pop up will just sit there and the download indicator will continue to run.

I even unplugged the network cable but it still sits there as though a download was in progress.

I just rebooted after the update to beta 7 and run the on-demand scan. Apparently, the new archive module is still not working properly with the new style archive names of RAR.
    --> ...\usual.part001.rar »RAR - next archive volume not found
The next (all) volumes are in place and not corrupted. Just one thing I noticed.

    For the sake of completeness:
Archive support module version: 1.028 (20050411)
Archive support module build version: 1114

    Nice work, though!
    Cheers

    Re: NOD32 2.50.7 Beta - Comments & Opinions

I first installed NOD32 beta over the top of my existing NOD, 2.12.3. Everything ran great just as it always had with NOD. But I wanted to see if there was any difference with just doing a fresh install of the beta. I did an uninstall and then did a fresh install with just the beta 2.50.7 using my username and password.

    Some things I have noticed.

Maybe it's just my imagination, but I think my speeds are even faster now.
The new splash screen. Nice looking. I usually disable the splash screen, but this one is so nice looking, I haven't disabled it yet. :D With 2.12.3 and earlier, there was always a desktop icon installed that opened the NOD On-Demand Scanner. When I did a fresh install of the beta, there is no desktop icon. No big deal, but just wanted to know if this is normal or is it just me.

Keep up the good work Eset.

there used to be an (enabled) option for in the install that you have to tick yourself now in "expert" installtion.

You didn't bypass that option when installing did you?

I think it must be your imagination. I just can't imagine how replacing an existing file, versus adding the new file where none had existed before, could possibly make a difference. The only thing I can think of is that your settings have changed, and now you're scanning fewer FSOs than before.

OK, here's my two (fill in small denomination coin here)s worth:

For those of us that are deploying a large number of these updates once they become available and have been tested in our environment, we need a way to turn off the "Early Warning System" prompts after the reboot. Either via the configuration file, command line switch, registry entry or whatever. I don't care if I have to actually answer the questions for them, I just don't need the users to have to make the choices.

Implementing a completely silent option somewhere would be a definite plus for (all together now) "us corporate admins."

Yep, I sure did. I just checked the Typical install like I've always done when I installed other versions of NOD. So I unstalled and reinstall a few minutes ago and this time checked the Expert option. Desktop icon is displayed.

    Thanks ronjor and no13.

I'm no expert on the inner workings. I have basically the same set up in NOD beta. All I know is that to me connecting from web page to web page seems faster. Hey if it's just my imagination, it's still a good thing. :)
