FP-Win 5.12 pro is the same as 3.12a(english)! German 3.xx doesnt have 3.12a features! Kind of confusing...

Maybe, but AVK 11 Pro missed some ITW viruses on access! Good Heuristic analyzer is result of using KAV and RAV engines. Both av products developed very good Heuristic analyzer!

Being a DrWeb user I notice it didn't perform too well in the test :( So I have two questions: Number one is I didn't notice the date of the test. Does anyone know when the test took place? Number two is what version of DrWeb was tested?
    Regards
    Tim ;)

I do not like the c't review (a lot of mistakes and misunderstandings in it). After reading the review I had a lot of open questions. The heuristic test from Andreas Marx is IMHO useless. It indicates nothing because:

It is based on the assumption that the av programs are not updated over a certain time but this is an absolute unrealistic approach. And the second thing is that good av programs also update their heuristics to keep on track with new malware and improving detection capabilities. The only thing you can learn from this test is that you have to keep updating your av software but this is not really something new.

Tried out Anti-virus kit 11Professional today

Not impressed at all. The scan engine is the slowest I have ever seen.
I would not own a program you can't minimize to the tray.
How this one rated so well on AV-Test.Org amazes me...
Now will try some others. Disgusting NOD-32 doesn't have a trial.

By using two top notch engines:
    1. Kaspersky
    2. RAV

    Detection rate counts. ;)
