    mcafee online scanner just found this

    spywareblaster.sbautoupdat.exe...

    suggestions

    beginning to think these online scanners give you a bug so you will buy there software.,.........

    maybe the backing up of "infected" files is a good idea, i just about deleted..

    You should be safe. McAfee changed or added a detection and now suddenly all their users with SpywareBlaster are getting virus alerts. But, users with KAV, RAV, NOD32, NAV, F-Secure, F-Prot, etc. etc. are not being alerted to any virus and there are millions of installed copies of SpywareBlaster, so, it'd seem likely that the McAfee detection is wrong. ;)

    You can add avast-4 (home) to the "etc." list. I did a thorough scan (all files regardless of type or extension) this evening including archived files, and it's clean as a whistle.
