Today, Google Chrome fails to load any page on any of my machines (XP, W7), including its own 'about' page. I've just discovered that disabling Identity Shield resolves this problem.
Has Chrome auto-updated on your machines since yesterday? Please check that Chrome's status in Control Active Processes hasn't changed to "Monitor", and if so, then change it. You may be best contacting Support if many others don't appear with similar issue. Any add-ons you've tried disabling to check this? Please see (may help): https://community.webroot.com/t5/We...Internet/Chrome-being-monitored/m-p/5498#M300 http://live.webrootanywhere.com/content/643/Controlling-active-processes
I have Chrome and it updated yesterday and it's not being Monitored but can you check your ID Shield to make sure it's under protect? http://www.webroot.com/En_US/Secure...6_IDProtection/CH6c_ManagingProtectedApps.htm Thanks, TH
I had the exact same problem as the OP after using 'About Google Chrome' to update Chrome to version 33. Not knowing (or even looking) to see what the problem could be, I uninstalled and reinstalled Chrome and the problem went away.
