But I want to say YES to more internet censorship.

Making it harder for people to build bombs or conduct acts of terrorism is not a bad thing.

Maybe I need to start a petition to Increase Internet Censorship.

So far I have two signatures.

    1. Me (Frank the Perv)
    2. Keg (my dog)
    3. Your name here

Will it really make any difference? I always think that petition thingies are just some whining angry people that don't have enough guts to make a real progress.

It doesn't have to use the internet I'm afraid.

If you changed it to "Increase Internet Surveillance", count me in. :D

I've never put much in to Internet surveys. I don't think they are all the effective and it seems I aways have to give them an email address so they can send me stuff.

Frank add me, myself and I, plus my three dogs, two cats and a lizard named boo.

Just exactly how meaningful is an Internet-based petition when I could easily have 10, or 100, or 1000, ... email addresses? Or when the Mevade administrator, for example, might have a hundred million or more (five million bots at twenty email addresses per bot)?

Online petitions are a clever way of getting a huge list of active emails which then can be sold on for great profits later. People are stupid enough to fall for it and the spammer makes a lot of money.

Example, I could make a petition to "Make Elvis the most famous singer ever" and get a BUNCH of stupid fans to give up their emails to me.

103,173 active email accounts sold to a few Viagra company's I can go on holiday in the Bahamas for a months or two.

That would be highly ironic for the author of a "Say no to Internet censorship" petition ;)

Edit: Upon reflection, fighting spam is a form of Internet censorship, I suppose :(

It doesn't matter how much the government survelliances in the Internet. There will ALWAYS be ways to circumvent this surveillance while online. Using Tor is one such way.

You do know that I was just joking, right? Although it's true that I recently have become a supporter of internet surveillance activities.

Unless it Leeds to the door being kicked in and the room sprayed with bullets by the police who have the wrong apartment it happened in New York recently.

You serious? But anyway, it still could happen even without watching over the internet. In fact, information would be more accurate if the governments have specific data about everyone. :D

Seriously though, really? I thought police officers won't use their firearms unless they were being attacked.

    Yes totally
No, they can use firearms and other deadly force under all kinds of situations it might be to prevent a more deadly situation like trying to disarm a madman lunging at people with a knife. But even the police can get it Horribly wrong

The major the government censors something, the more it will appear.
