Can a phishing website get information just from you landing on it while browsing?

I don't readily fill in information, but I'm talking about just landing there.

I have heard that if you "unsubscribe" from a bad e-mail source, you actually play into their hands by conforming your e-mail to them.

What I'd image they could collect:
- same data mining and finger printing as any other site you aren't signed into, but visit.
- browser managers that auto-fill and submit would hand it over.
- custom scripts could be used to exploit browser vulnerabilities. see next point.
- exploiting vulnerabilities in the account/password storage of your browser.
- data collection about the add-ons/plug-ins you run.
- payload delivery could hijack and infect your system, thus gaining access to anything and everything you store locally.
