A very interesting idea.

 

I gave it a go on Windows. Hasn't crashed yet and is really easy to use. Go through the options, as some seem pretty handy to use. I'm generating a Wilders only key now, so send messages if you want to test.

Interesting I played with it on a live disk; worked well I may drop it on my desktop. I want a security review before using it though. My overview looks promising but I am no expert in the field of cryptography.

 

PGP messages through it work fine. Encode in a text file window, copy and paste into bit message. Reverse for decryption.

Yes, there is also a post on their forum about one guy that did an audit in early May. I figure with Tor/VPN and PGP, good enough to play with for now.

I am going to use it. Use PGP for anything sensitive. I like the idea it's decentralized and P2P. Also I can change addresses on the fly which is cool.

I have an idea for rolling this into something like the raspberry pi or maybe even Guardian Rom once they have an Android version out.

Good layman explanation. I've had zero problems. Got a few test messages from some users here I like keeping it separate from Thunderbird, but it's cool that there is choice. Would be nice on Android, wonder what battery life would be like with the PoW? Works fine through VPN or Tor, and PGP messages through it easy.

I am going to setup bitmessage again it looks like it's maturing nicely.

 

What are the default ports used by Bitmessage? I want to make sure that my Tor relay is configured to accept them.
