    Hello,

The following message thread is meant to answer questions about the new ESET Security Forum announced in the New ESET Security Forum Announcement. message.
    1. How do I register/join the new forum?
To join the new forum, visit http://forum.eset.com/ and click the blue (Create Account) button in the upper right-hand corner.
    2. Why didn’t I receive a registration email when I created an account?
If you are not signed in immediately after registration, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to activate your account. If you do not receive the email, first check your spam folder as the email containing your registration information may have been accidentally redirected to a spam or junk email folder. If the email is not in your spam folder, go to http://forum.eset.com/index.php?app=core&module=global&section=lostpass to reset your account. Please mark noreply@eset.com as a safe sender in your email client or service.
    3. Can I sign in using my Facebook or Twitter account?
Yes. To save time and to remember one less password, you can use your existing login information from Facebook or Twitter to link your account. Registration using this method takes only three (3) clicks and will return you back to the forum after you have authorized it.
    4. What will happen to the previous ESET forum on Wilders?
For the next one to two weeks, both the Official ESET Support Forum on WildersSecurity.com and the new ESET Support Forum will operate in parallel. One to two weeks after that, new messages topics will not be allowed. One to to weeks after that, the forum on Wilders switch to read-only mode, and no new threads or posts will be possible. All existing threads in the Official ESET Forum on Wilders Security Forums will be moved to the “Archived Forums” section accessible from https://www.wilderssecurity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=36.
    5. What if I have an open thread on Wilders?
ESET will migrate threads with unresolved questions to the new ESET Security Forum. However, it is possible that some will be missed due to the high number of threads and posts that can occur during the forum migration. If you do not see your thread or post, please start a new thread with your question or issue.
    6. Can I keep my Wilders username?
It is possible that you can register on the ESET Security Forum with your previous Wilders Security Forum username. However, usernames are on a first-come, first-serve basis and there is no guarantee that your username will be available on the ESET Security Forum. We suggest registering as soon as possible to secure your desired username.
ESET reserves the right to block, change, reassign and reserve well-known usernames in cases where abuse or impersonation may be an issue.
    7. What will happen to my Wilders Security Forums post count and titles?
The ESET Security Forum is a brand new forum , which means everyone starts off as a new member with a post count of zero. However, we do plan to recognize long-term members for their past contributions. Details will be announced after the forum is active for a few weeks.
    8. What are the different poster status levels?
The poster status levels will be announced in the future on the new forum.
    9. I am an ESET Partner, Distributor or Reseller – is there a private forum for me?
Yes, after you are registered as a member, contact any Forum Moderator by clicking the]link “The Moderating Team” found at the bottom of the main forum page.
After you are granted access to the “ESET Resellers Forum,” read the Pinned Welcome thread for additional information.
    10. What are the forum rules and code of conduct?
For information about the ESET Security Forum rules and code of conduct, see http://forum.eset.com/topic/76-rules-of-the-eset-security-forum/.
    11. How can contact ESET for Forum suggestions and problems?
For contacting ESET to suggest a forum enhancement or report a problem, see http://forum.eset.com/forum/22-forum-faqs-and-feedback/.
    12. How can I contact ESET directly?
General contact information for ESET’s offices around the world is located at http://www.eset.com/about/contact/.
For technical support, visit http://www.eset.com/support/contact/ or from inside your ESET product, select Help and support to access a Customer Care support request form, in-product and online help content.

    Hello,

It will eventually be announced using the other notification mechanisms. Even though we have been testing for a few months, we are taking a very conservative approach and performing every task involving the new forum incrementally with a large enough time buffer built-in between each type of action to ensure things go smoothly.

    Regards,

    Aryeh Goretsky

    Hello Aryeh,

A kind request: will you let us know here at Wilders when the cert issue with respect to the new forum is solved? Please. Any estimated date about that?

PS: I didn't know whether to post this here in this thread or in the existing thread.
In case the mods think the existing thread is better, of course by all means feel free to move this there.
