Error writing antispam counters

    Wow.....so after more than 2 years from the original problem being reported on this forum by me:

    This problem is still present on the very latest build of ESS v5!

    I find this astonishing, especially when the problem was acknowledged by tony_m who forwarded the details to the development team about a year ago....but still no fix!

    Can someone from ESET please address this?

    Hello,
    unfortunately, our product managers were not notified about this issue in the past. It's been now added on the to-do list for the next service build. We apologize for the inconvenience. It is definitely our priority to address issues reported by our customers with as high priority as possible.

    I have this issue as well, running smart security 5.2.9.1

    Just wondering if there has been any progress on this as yet please?

    I'm still using v4.2.71.2 as v5.x always seemed a little buggy and the initial response from v6 isn't that great.

    The issue was first fixed in 5.2.14.

    Is there a reason why it hasn't been made available for v4 users? I expect there's still a few people using it considering the documented issues on laters versions.

    V3/v4/v5 are no longer being developed. Fixes have always been made in the current product line only.

    Fair enough...thanks for the explanation.

    I've installed v6. It looks good...as did v5 but aesthetics are the least important consideration for a security product imo.

    One question regarding v6 though. Why is there an exclamation mark icon in the notification tray icon? I've activated the application.

    If you open the Protection status panel, does it show some warning / notification ?
