Hello Atwellwa and welcome to Wilders :)

Maybe you can check the URL with one of these services to see what they say, if you wish?

Remember that circumventing a blockage may result in malware infection or installation of potentially unwanted software on your computer. There's always reason why certain pages are blocked.

    Thanks for quick reply Guys:)

Dermot7 Thanks for welcome, put url through both sites you recomended and they both returned results that the site was clean and no probs.

The site in question is a P2P site:argh:

Ok, but please take good note of what Marcos said, and know that p2p can be very dangerous.

'preciate what Marcos and yourself say but the site in question is deemed to be one of the safest p2p sites around. Dont get me wrong i understand that NOD is doing what i pay it to do have had it for 3 years now and well pleased thats why i keep paying for it year on year.

I use this p2p site mostly for tv progs that start in uk and then jump to HBO.

Dermot7..... Digested all of your links and am fully aware of problems of P2P sites thats why my system is fully loaded with anti malaware proggys and NOD32. What i am trying to find out is why ESET has only just blocked this site 2 days ago. Why do the 2 links you gave me say the site is clean and ok.

Do ESET know something they dont or is it belt & braces time for ESET.

Am not knocking ESET,as i rate it a very good AV just curious as to why its just blocked that one site.

    Thanks for your input.

I reported this to moderators, no response.
Very odd that an Eset employee would post a link that is detected as malware by their AV, without some type of explanation.

No, it's NOT infected it's a detection due to all the "suspicious"(in lack of better word) content on the site. It has always been like that :D

The site even gives you a warning before one visit did you guys miss that, or didn't read?

So, I should blindly take the site's word as truth?
If the site isn't infected, ESET should fix the alert as a false positive.

Yes, because it's a safe site and a good company behind it ;)
Wich provided great info for the OP in this thread.

Maybe not the sites words, but ESET's at least.

Afaik It's not that type of FP :)

Great. From now on, if I encounter
malware and the website says it isn't malware, I'll turn off Eset. Great idea.

All websites can be hijacked and infected with malware. It has happened to majorgeeks.com. That is why I pay for AV protection and trust what my antivirus tells me. If it is a false positive, ESET should fix it.

I am not going to explain over and over again. :)

Best solution for you is to wait for an reply from the ESET staff.

I am not interested in an explanation from you. Unfortunately, you are unable to
    understand the problem.

    So be it.

Should I say the same about you ;)
I am not unable to understand the problem, but I am unable to explain it to you.

Afaik It's the first time you visit this blog today, and you think it is infected.
I on the other hand have visited the blog many times and I always see the same popup from ESS. And I know that it's not infected.

ESET can explain the cause for the "detection"....over and out!

No. Eset thinks it's infected. That's the point.
