I think both Comodo fans and haters both will agree that strange and weird things from Comodo are never unexpected.

Comodo Backup was released about 2 years back, then abandoned in favor of comodo time machine( CTM). Recently CTM was abandoned too and now I noticed that they have started working on Comodo backup again.

Weird that there are already free options available that are reliable enough( Macrium free, Paragon Free, Clonezilla etc) and Windows 7 has builtin imaging as well. Not sure why they re-opened this project. o_O

why would anyone want to backup a partition without backing up the system partition??

and if we are talking file based backups then there are literally thousands of more stable programs to do that with which dont hook into the system as deep as comodo backup

    please explain why and how?

am not knocking ya mate, am just saying people should think really carefully if they are thinking about using this as an imaging tool.

no, they must continue until they release a boot cd ;)

CTM or Rollback RX for system partition. It's better solutions than Imaging for somebody. So Some users using CTM or any other rollback software.

If who use ctm like software, imaging apps not necessary, and boot cd also. they can use CDB for documents on system partition and other partition. It complement for CTM,RBX user

IT is not only imaging app, It has online backup function, sync function, file backup function.

But other side, you are right, they must add boot cd. And also, i know CDB is not very popular and the best, there are better apps.

heh? never mind, i think there has been an error in communication here, sorry for not explaining more clearer.

anyhow, lets hope they release a free full on boot cd and not a basic linux version, there are too few free imaging boot cd's around

I remember using Comodo Backup a long time ago. I ran into a lot of trouble with it. I am quite the Comodo fan, though.
