BCWipe Total WipeOut shows many features including the following two features.

    Questions:

    1. Will a Zero Write to all hard drive sectors do the same thing?

    2. I read somewhere that BCWipe can wipe areas of a hard drive that a Zero Write to all hard drive sectors cannot wipe. If this is true, are there any known instances of Malware hiding in the areas that are not wiped with a Zero Write to all hard drive sectors?

    Thanks in Advance.

I use Eraser so I don't have any experience with those. I have read that even if you do a Gutmann wipe the NSA can still get stuff off of it. I don't know if that is true just something I read on a tech blog one time.
