SecThought.E

Hello, I've recently been receiving some messages from AVG telling me that I have this SecThought.E in my computer and when I run AVG it tells me it can't heal it it just puts it in the virus vault. Now these messages keep popping up and everytime I run AVG it does the same thing. Can anyone help me?

Hi Bowfinger,

Can you tell us where exactly AVG picks this up (exact location on your PC)

If it's in the _restore folder, we'll have to do an additional step to clean it up.

Fix these with HijackThis (not related) :

OK I fixed those things you told me to. As for the location it is

C:\Documents and Settings\OWNER\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\CONTENT.IE5\7J9335KW\INSTAL~1.EXE

but each time the folder after CONTENT.IE3 keeps changing, like here it is again

C:\Documents and Settings\OWNER\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\CONTENT.IE5\AR6RM9MV\INSTAL~1.EXE

 

Should I just do that each time cause I'm still getting the same message and I've done it a couple of times.
