I'm planning on purchasing a Macbook Pro for my next laptop. Problem is that I'm of the line of thinking that all laptops should have full disk encryption. What options are available to OS X users when it comes to full disk encryption?

    1) Bootcamp and Windows/Linux
    2) FileVault+VM of your choice (now OS X Server included)
3)audit all your software that handles sensitive files to make sure they stay in home, ecrypted swap and RAM.
4)Possibly there is (finally?) a FDE solution available for OS X, see here, there are some more obscure ones like "Bloombase Keyparc" and "Check Point Full Disk Encryption" that might work for you.

Truecrypt also has an OSX version but I dunno if it does FDE or not (the Linux version does not).
