    Hello all,
We're pleased to announce the next official release of Prevx/SafeOnline - 3.0.5.140 :) It should be released out for update within the next few days to existing users, but users can manually download the upgraded version from:

    http://info.prevx.com/downloadcsi.asp or http://info.prevx.com/download.asp?grab=prevxcsi64 if on a 64bit OS.

The changelog over the previous live build, .130 is:

    - (PSO) Improved browser performance on Chrome/Opera
    - (PSO) Fixed some issues blocking unknown programs from rendering icons properly
    - (P30) Fixed some issues uninstalling all drivers without requiring a reboot
    - (PSO) Fixed an issue on some x64 PCs running Chrome
    - (PSO) Fixed an issue identifying URLs on some Firefox instances
    - (PSO) Fixed compatibility with the Google Toolbar
    - (PSO) Fixed compatibility with CCleaner
    - (PSO) Fixed compatibility with Kaspersky Pure
    - (PSO) Added support for credential protection messages under UAC
    - (PSO) Automatic credential protection is now only applied in registered versions
    - (PSO) Fixed an issue causing 64bit browsers to load slowly
    - (PSO) Corrected support for Microsoft CRM in SafeOnline

The only existing issues at the moment are a stray incompatibility between Sandboxie/TabMix Plus/Firefox/PSO, as reported by Defenestration: https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showpost.php?p=1659668&postcount=11 and a possible incompatibility with ESET as reported by Blackspear but we're still investigating both

Please let me know if you find anything else! Thanks for the testing :thumb:

    Hi PrevxHelp

    Thank you

Just to make you know: The download link brings to PREVX 3.0.5.130 (for Windows x64 at least)

I have downloaded it 3 times to be absolutely sure.

I have also renamed all other PREVX setup files just downloaded.

    Please see snapshot attached.

    Regards

You may want to clear down your browser cache - I've just tried here and it gave me build 140, although we have many servers throughout the world so it is possible that they haven't all updated yet.

Probably worth trying again in an hour or so when it is more likely that it will have gotten to all of our servers :)

Let me know what you find!

    Hi PrevxHelp.
I have just followed your directions: I cleaned down my browser cache, rebooted and I also went to have a midnight nosh:D.

I could succeed in downloading PREVX SafeOnline 3.0.5 build 140 x64 Windows O.S.

Thank you and have a nice week end:)

    Cheers

It fixed my problems I was still having with KIS10 but I still seem to have an icon bug on my XPSP3 32 bit system. I saved a screenshot.

    Hello,
Could you let me know if you've rebooted after upgrading to this new version? If so, you may want to turn down SafeOnline's protection from Maximum to High, but we will look closer at this to correct it in the next version :)

    Thank you!

I have rebooted a couple of times and it didn't help. This doesn't happen all of the time and it has no impact on any feature of SAS/PRO so I won't worry about it.

Hi PrevxHelp and thank you for the excellent product.

I noticed that the prevx download page has currently 3 products on it: Prevx 3.0, Prevx 3.0 Enterprise and SafeOnline. Is the SafeOnline that's part of Prevx 3.0 the same as the SafeOnline on the download page, and if not, would additional features does the other SafeOnline add?

It's the same SafeOnline that is in Prevx 3.0 with the same protection. Joe will add more details!

Under-the-hood they are exactly the same as TH has said, but there are some minor differences in the install process and reporting of infections. The pure-SafeOnline install makes the antimalware components slightly less prominent and simplifies the installation to try to keep out of the user's way and make the experience all-around more simplistic.

    Hope that helps! :)

New release installed automatically on both computers last night. Looking fine so far. I was wondering if auto updates would alter my SafeOnline-less installation, and Joe said nothing would change. He was right, of course. :) I might add that since dropping ZoneAlarm Pro 14 days ago, my on-again-off-again troubles with BSODs on one machine have not reappeared. Reason for mentioning this is that another side effect was issues with Prevx. It is difficult sometimes to pinpoint the source of errors, and often it takes the passage of sufficient time to confirm that a change in start up programs has really made a difference. I am glad that it did not turn out to be Prevx that was causing problems. Prevx is running as smooth on my machines as anyone could ever imagine or hope for. The auto updating is terrific. :thumb:

On my second computer, notebook Prevx dont update automaticly and I cant update by "Check the updates" button. I have reply "You are currently using the newest Prevx software". And SafeOnline module causes problems with my IM, WTW. When i make SafeOnline off i can copy&paste from browser to WTW. When the SafeOnline is on i cant do this.

markusg, there is no detection rate in safeonline - it's a program to stop your data (eg. credit card info, or internet banking infor that you enter into a web browser) from being stolen by malware on your computer system...ie. if something does get past prevx3's AV engine (and no anti-malware is perfect), then safeonline should still stop your data from being stolen.

    Hi Mark,

It is the same detection rate as PrevxHelp said:

If I'm getting this right SafeOnline is the main part as the Anti-Malware is secondary and only detects infections and only removes some Adware and the MBR Rootkits but the SafeOnline component will still protect your Browsing even if your are infected with malware that would try to steal your private info, but if you want full malware removal it would be best to get the the Full Prevx 3.0 With SafeOnline! Joe will correct me if I'm wrong! ;)

    HTH,

    TH
