I keep getting a popup that a cryptic URL has been blocked. Does this mean my browser's been hijacked? There are no addresses blocked in ESET.

Post back the version number of your installed ESET product | Your Operating System | List of Security Software you have installed | Primary Browser used |

The above will help us help you better determine what your issue is.

I'd suggest creating and checking a SysInspector log for suspicious files and subsequently submit them to ESET per the instructions here.

The addresses aren't like those. I can't figure out how to post a screenshot, but the error is like this:

    Address has been blocked.
    URL address:
    "j00k877x.cc/AVw0OY8E6V3jdHs4dmVyPTMuNzI...
    IP address:
    85.12.46.159:80

    Thanks for your help.
