I use Fast Stone Capture to grab scroll down pages and save them as
.jpg files, quite frequently but some weeks/months later I need to grab some of the text
off one of the saved .jpg's but can't - Does anyone know a quick way to
be able to grab the text please ?

There does not appear to be an App. that will convert - any clues if I save
the pages as something else other than a .jpg which would enable grabbing text off the page sometime in the future ?

No flying pigs here. Unless there's something I haven't heard of they'd need to first be printed, then scanned with OCR soft.

You'd be better off with something captures them as PDF's

It's easy to convert jpg to pdf, but that doesn't necessarily get you editable text. Just a pdf file of the graphics.

    Oh, duh. It's getting late.

OneNote would work! It can search jpg files for text and save as text.

Thanks to all you guys who tried - I gave a couple of things a go such as Peter mentioning to save as a .PDF, but also as he said, it does not allow to highlight and grab a bit - I checked Simple OCR, and Wilber's OCR link - 842. the JOCR looked the goods but it needs M$ Office which I don't have, I tried Pure Text, it was hopeless, tried PDF2Text, hopeless - I shall have to get used to File - Save As a Text file, and then also capture the scroll down Web page - a bit of a fiddle but better than nothing.

    Regards.
