Support for EXT4 file system

The True Image 2009 manual indicates that EXT4 is not a supported file system except on a sector-by-sector basis. Is this still the case? The reason I ask is that Acronis introduced support for 256 i-nodes, and I thought EXT4 support might have been introduced at the same time. Thanks!

 

And now that Ubuntu, the most popular Linux distribution, is supporting ext4, it is time for True Image and Disk Director to step up to the plate...

Yes it’s true Acronis True Image Home 2009 doesn’t support ext4 file system but can create sector-by-sector backup under Acronis bootable disc. Most probably ext4 support will be implemented in next version of the program. You can receive Acronis' releases and special promotions information if you sign up at our web site.
