An on-demand scan (in-depth) is freezing on a java chrome.manifest file.
    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

    Done. Thank you Marcos.
Other information that may be helpful:
    1. Chrome.manifest file is from newly released Java run-time environment Java 6, update 4.
    2. Nod version 2.7 has no problem with file.
    3. After Version 3 freezes, clicking 'Stop' momentarily pauses scanning,
it doesn't terminate scanning. This seems wrong to me.

Until its on the manual page, im sticking with my 3 ;) ( update 4 was on the manual page a couple of days ago for about 2 hours then went back to update 3) Plus checking updates from within Java itself claims no update available. I think they arent sure about pumping this out to the masses yet. But install what you will. I'm cautious of new releases. I'll wait and see.

Tell me to create a new thread for this if necessary, but I am having a similar problem, scan is freezing while scanning:

    C:\Program Files\Mozilla FireFox\Chrome\browser.manifest

CPU goes to 100% scan needs to be aborted every time.

This is a brand new machine with a fresh install of Windows XP SP2, only the basics loaded on so far (Nod32, MS Office, Firefox)

    Screenshot attached.

I am also not happy that when the STOP SCAN button is clicked, it doesn't stop, PC needs to be restarted.

Update to the latest version 2787 which contains a fix for the issue.

So, it was something buggy in the unarchiving/unpacking engine, right?
