The test results from other AVs not included in the regular tests is out at av-comparatives.org. Just scroll down in the comparatives section. :D

ArcaVir and VBA32 are the winners... and Comodo the big looser.

p.s.: if a product is not included, it means in 99% of the cases that the vendor did not want to get tested.

Question: Why does Rising do so badly in AV-comparatives test, when it had got 90% in the recent PC-Welt tests performed by AV-test.org? o_O

Surely there has to be a good reason. Maybe its because they are lacking in detection of older malware?

    IBK,

Why did you not placed the results of the Comodo 2.0 beta on the table, and only on the Note?

And where is CounterSpy 2.2 beta?

good work again IBK... I think VBA32 and ArcaVir will be included very soon in the normal test as they are very close to 85 % detection rates.

IBK, thank you for the test:thumb: . I noticed the notes say that Comodo AV 2 beta was tested and had the total of 42%. Why was it not included in the main table, instead of v1?

    TIA

because to be comparable, all versions are from the 2nd February.

I think that too... I've noticed they have improved a lot in the last time and they're working on this.

I do not feel they lost. They r new to the game and any detection is welcome. it is free and allready does the new version pick up almost half of the samples.

If they have the faith to be independently tested then they deserve respect.

well, yes, I agree with you, but I said loosers because they had the lowest detection rate not anything else. :)

The first beta v2.0 is from the beginning of November! ;)
So you can change the table...

    And the question about CounterSpy?

Agreed, and with 100% of most recent ITW test set nabbed I feel safe.

on the website you still get first v1.1. beta.
the 42% applies only to the last beta version with 1 month newer signatures and engien imporvements. on 2nd february it would still stick on about 27%. can't say exactly because previous v2 versions crashed too often.

Nevertheless below 50 percent is pretty horrible for Comodo

    Yes, we.

I didn't know the exactly number, as you, but I had the same opinion that its detection would not be nothing special...

And if you read my posts about Comodo detection, on this forum and the reply to your post, you will see that I always doubt that they will have success on detection in the next 2 or more years... ;)

42% for v2 is what's important. Present beta is v2, not v1, even if for test purposes i understand IBK. So you missed.;)
I don't think either that it's a surprise, or that was bad. It's beta, an infant regarding development time.

I still wait until they say it's stable and non beta. Then i'll look into it. Until then i'm just curious on where they are.

I also thought that Comodo was working on Retrospective/Pro-Active Defense? Not really on-demand detection.

On the next test (The Retrospective one) will any of the anti-viruses from this test be included?
