Hi, I'm new on this site and have a very serious problem with Nod32 2.5.
    I keep getting this message in my log file;
Error occurred while updating program modules (cannot replace current file, check the system T E)
Can anyone please help me as I have no Virus protection update? I would appreciate an early response please.
    HELP!:'(

Hi Ta Malta, welcome to Wilders.

    Do the following files exist?

    C Drive> Windows> Temp

    C Drive> Documents and Settings> (User Name) XXXXXX> Local Settings> Temp

    Cheers :D

1st Check that you can view hidden files.

Then double click on "My Computer"

Double Click on the "Windows" folder

Is there a folder called "Temp" there?

Do the same for the other temp folder and make sure it exists.

If they don't, right click and add a "new folder", name it "temp" (without the quotes)

    Cheers :D

Another method for checking if your Temp Folders exist:

    1. Right click on "My Computer"

    2. Click on "Properties"

    3. Click on the "Advanced" Tab

    4. Click on "Environmental Variables"

    5. Do the "Temp and TMP" folders exist?

    if they don't, then:

    6. Click on "New"

    7. Variable Name = TEMP
    Variable value = %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temp
    Click "OK"

    8. Variable Name = TMP
    Variable value = %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temp
    Click "OK"
