    1. You can adjust IMONs compatibility setup by sliding this along arrow along the bar. Best to leave it as is, unless advised otherwise.

    2. Click on “OK”.

    1. Click on the “HTTP” tab.

    2. Click on the Radio Button that reads “Automatically deny download of file”.

    3. Click on the “Client Compatibility” button.

This is where you will be instructed to go if you are having an issue with a particular program...

    1. It is recommended to change the compatibility level to "Higher Efficiency" unless you experience problems with certain applications.

NOTE: With “Higher Compatibility” mode it is possible that Trojans may slip through IMON.

    2. Click on “OK”.

    1. Click on the “Miscellaneous” tab.

    2. Place a tick in "Log intrusion attempts to the virus log".

    3. do NOT click this unless you are advised to, or you are seeing a slow internet connection. This button repairs the LSP chain (Winsock).

Further instructions on repairing Winsock can be found in post number 124 HERE

    4. Click on “Scanner> Setup”.

    1. Click on the “Scanning Targets” tab.

    2. Make sure ONLY your Hard Drives have a RED tick.

In this screenshot I have 4 hard drives, hence you can see 4 red ticks. If you only have 1 hard drive then there should only be 1 red tick present.

    PROFILES

    1. Click on the “Profiles” tab.

    2. Place a tick in “Run this profile in cleaning mode” and “Use this profile for scanning files/folders from within the context menu.

    3. Make sure this Radio Button is checked.

Each profile can have different scanning settings if you so desire, or you can have NOD32 scan exactly the same way in all profiles. NOD32 is just giving you choices, and choices are good.

It’s like having many pizzas and with each you can choose a different topping, or you may have a favorite topping that you want on all pizzas.
