Don't forget that AppGuard blocks USB malware. For those of you into experimentation, I hope you'll kick the tires a bit.

    Cheers,

When one has to run legitimate software from a USB device, no problem. Just right-click on the AppGuard tray icon, select 'Suspend USB Malware Protection', and AppGuard allows it to launch, leaving it alone. The user doesn't have to remember to re-enable protection. By default, it automatically does so in 5 minutes.

It would really help when the Documents directory could be entered in the XML setup file. I played by adding HKU keys to protect nice hardening of HKU is possible :)

That, good but what if one wants to disable this protection permanantly?

We've realized that we need to better accomodate this. At the moment, one must edit the XML file in 'all users', not the other one in the user-login 'application data' in 'documents and settings'. There are detailed instructions in the Admin guide.

The primary purpose of this guide is to support AppGuard deployments on multiple machines by an administrator. For such an administrator, we will create a wizard or module to eliminate XML edits. For the standalone, we will modify the GUI to permanently or more persistently disable/enable one or more features.

    Its all on the way.

AppGuard is the same file version as the original EdgeGuard Solo. So I'm looking forward to when the new and improved EdgeGuard Solo will be released.

    Later.....
