Tried it and it refused to run. Locked up the program which I had to release with Task Manager. Same for Outllok Express and Address Book.

    Hello Omicron,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

We are sorry for the delayed response.

Please note that the current version of Acronis True Image 10.0 Home support back up messages, accounts and settings of the following e-mail clients: Microsoft Outlook 2000, 2002, 2003 and Microsoft Outlook Express.

E-mail backup is a subset of file-level backup that backs up predefined folders and requires minimum user selections. However, if need be, you can select Microsoft Outlook components and folders individually.

The list of supported e-mail clients will be gradually built up.

If you want us to change the behavior of Acronis True Image in any way or add some new features to this product, please feel free to post any of your suggestions in Acronis True Image WISH-LIST thread.

    Thank you.

Presently it appears to me that TI10 backs up the emails themselves but is unable to restore contacts or calender data. I have also noticed that sometimes it also drops the "date received" from emails in the inbox.

However you can manually backup the .pst files and such using TI10. Data files can be found in the application data folder in your user profile.

So yes, and no is the answer.

Does this have to do with the .XML type files?

    Hello the-void,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

We are sorry for the delayed response.

Could you please clarify the following in more details?

Please also clarify the e-mail client you use: is it Microsoft Outlook 2000, 2002, 2003 or Microsoft Outlook Express? Create Windows System Information as it is described in Acronis Help Post.

Then submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with a solution.

    Thank you.

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Please note that as you can probably see on this Forum, the issue with backing up messages, accounts and settings of Microsoft Outlook 2000, 2002, 2003 and Microsoft Outlook Express occurs not for all users of Acronis True Image 10.0 Home.

However, with the information received from Acronis True Image User's how experience this issue we are able to investigate the issue thoroughly and we are now closer to resolving the problem.

Once again, please accept our apologies for the inconvenience and thank you for your assistance and understanding.

    Thank you.
