Only good beans of the right colour and size are used for baked beans. These beans are tumbled through kangaroos, which softens their skin. The beans are then baked by moving through a tunnel oven on a conveyor belt. Tomato sauce is added and "hey presto" - baked beans!:p

Be very afeared of any offered assistance from the 'Baked Bean Man'. He dosen't need to leap over tall buildings cause he just melts holes in em at ground level.

As for Maj Marj.....if she shows up w/one of her 'Troopettes'....have the iodine and band aids handy!!

Geez ... How OLD are you now Becky? :doubt:

It seems like you've had one Birthday after another this year. I guess it's like they say, when you start the downhill journey in the later stages of life, things really begin to fly. I guess you're pretty close to the finish line by now. :ninja: What ever you do; take it easy, you've got to be careful in your state. If I may; I suggest you get in touch with Cocheese [sic] and see if Nurse Edna :ninja: has a sister, it's time you got some help my friend.

Best Wishes and All My Love; My Dear. :-*

    Steve

Ps. Remember you ain't that great looking young broad in the red dress any more; it's time to play a little shuffle board I think. ;)

Federal government agrees to fund home in Louisiana for retired research chimps Mon Sep 30,11:52 PM ET

SHREVEPORT, Louisiana - The federal government has agreed to pay $8 million to help build a rest home in Louisiana for aging chimpanzees once used for scientific and medical research.

The facility, to be built in the Eddie D. Jones Nature Park, is expected to be complete by 2004. Besides former research animals, the haven will be for chimps no longer used as pets or in the entertainment business.
"This will provide a cost-effective program for the humane treatment of chimpanzees that have been used by our government for beneficial research," Rep. Jim McCrery ( news, bio, voting record), a Louisiana Republican, said in a news release.
Congress passed legislation last year that dedicates up to $30 million for ongoing care of chimpanzees.
Chimp Haven Inc., a nonprofit group founded in 1995 to develop a haven for the chimps, has been raising the necessary matching funds for construction.
The facility will house 300 chimps. The total project cost is $14 million.
