No.... if used properly, LUA+applocker is enough. I suggested sandboxie because in case some drive by or another thing come through you browser/IM/Email client, applocker will deny execution... and how you are in a virtualized enviroment (the sandbox), empty it and no traces will remain of the malware (no harm and no junk). How you have a lot of money online, emptying the sandbox will erase the traces of you browsing too. In this setup i described, the other apps is unnecessary (add only a backup software).

Just type Applocker in the search feature and read away!

Posters like Mr.Brian, wat0114, Lucy and a couple of others I may have missed have some good information on using Applocker, sometimes a bit too detailed o_O :D
I'm sure one of these posters will be along with all the information you need, just ask, thats how I started, good luck.

By the way which version on Win 7 are you using? Applocker only works with Ultimate and Enterprise editions.

Removed Avast and reinstalled NOD32 since I still have a valid license for two systems until July of next year.

I simply was not happy with the recent tests for Avast and my own tests. NOD has been performing very well for me in my tests and also performed very well in other tests.

System seems a little peppier as well. Looks like NOD has done some updating since the last time I used it. Faster and catching just about everything I throw at it malware wise. It does seem to be using a bit more RAM than Avast did, but not much.

I am experiencing exactly the same: ESET NOD32 Antivirus does consume quite a lot of RAM here (around 52MB in total for both processes on Windows 7 64-bit), more than a lot of competitors. But as far as I feel it, it is still one of the lightest, I don't experience any slowdowns. Also since version 4.2 I don't experience any slowdowns while browsing anymore.
When I install a different antivirus to test it out, I always experience the same: the new antivirus I test uses less RAM, but the system feels slower.
This really proofs RAM usage doesn't matter, the feel of speed is more dependant of CPU usage and I/O.
And of course the general quality and stability, unlike other antiviruses I have never encountered a single issue using ESET NOD32 Antivirus.
(Actually I am experiencing the same with Microsoft Security Essentials, it hogs RAM (around 70MB in total) but feels light and agile.)

I am really looking forward to the next version, I do hope version 5 comes with more in-the-cloud technologies; not especially signatures, but more likely reputation-based and/or behavior-based technologies.
