Many Av's are alerting when downloading Sumo.
BTW there is lite version of developer site and i think that no Av will flag it as adware.

This will be because of RelevantKnowledge, and users have the option to install that or not along with SuMo. However, I think it's a mistake on Kyle's part to bundle it even though there is a lite version without this as it seems RK is listed as adware/spyware by some AVs and the domains owned by them are on several domain block lists (hpHosts for example).

Previous ver. of Sumo did not react like this. For me Sumo is history & all his other products as well. He posts here in a Security forum & allows malware in his apps. Something not quite right here.

More reading about Relevant Knowledge can be seen starting with post #169 in the KCleaner thread.

Or just look here for more info on the KC Softwares' site.

Use "Lite" version instead which do NOT contain RK at all.

If you can provide a version without RK, why bother with it at all?

If it's to keep the software free then I'm sure most users would be happy to pay a nominal fee to keep it going.

Shareware is not an appropriate solution. I'm making a benchmark, comparing SUMo with AudioGrail, which do not have RK but requires a 15 USD licence. It generates less than 10 sales per month...

I think that an "optionnal" sponsor, with the possibility to even download a free of sponsor version is the best compromise today.
