I'm wondering what the academic discount will be for v4?

Also is there a good online site where I can buy the OEM version, which should be cheaper??

    thanks

    Hi tranemonk,

I will help you out here. :D I purchase for a business
so have not dealt with Academic pricing but have seen
that Eset has started offering this recently with the vendor
we purchase from, www.betterantivirus.com. Here is a link to
the Academic Pricing, you will need to create an account to get
the pricing. Search the Internet with the key words "eset smart security oem"
and you should find oem pricing. You will only find ESS v3 though
because the v4 CDs haven't been released yet, but if you buy a
v3 OEM CD you are eligible to upgrade to v4 for free. You will have
to download v4 from Eset's website. Hope this helps. :)

    Jeff

I know back in the v 2.7 days they had an academic discount, but when I renewed my subscription and v 3 was out; I was told they no longer had that. It never hurts to ask them.

thanks... I looked over there and it looks like I can get a great price for a 2 year subscription but for NOD 32 V 2.7.... :(

Would I be eligible for a free upgrade to Smart Security 4 if I were to get that??

    thanks!

Licenses aren't restricted to version, no such thing as a 2.7 only license.

No. ESS costs more than the antivirus alone. If you have a license to ESS, you can use any version of the programs you desire.

If you purchase EAV alone, your license will be good for the antivirus programs alone, any version.
