I am using a Vista sheduled task to wakeup my computer at 4:00 and run an Acronis 10 backup task.
The task starts at 4:00 but then hangs until I log on in the mornig before it continues successfully.

The is an error about opening a file in the log:

    Hello Peter Meinl,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Please be aware that current version of Acronis True Image does not support power management (specifically, waking up the system at a task execution). We may suggest you the following workaround: schedule a Vista task to to run some unrelated program (i.e. notepad.exe) to wake up the computer, and schedule the Acronis task via Acronis True Image schedule manager to run 3-5 minutes later (so the system would be in working state at the moment of backup execution).

    Thank you.
