I agree and I wouldn't run two even if it was the built in Windows one. I just thought I had seen somewhere that Outpost could run with it enabled.
But don't they tout it being able to work with Windows firewall. I remember reading that somewhere (it could have been a review site).
Did you try setting exclusions for those in Outpost? It may be worth a try. I set an exclusion for DefenseWall because it kept shutting down after...
It works well with Avira too. No BSOD and everything is running great so far. I also use DefenseWall and no issues with that either.
But one of the links you posted addressed the Pro version. I don't use the free version so I can't answer your question.
I just started using OSS Pro from Giveaway Of The Day and can confirm as one of the links you provided indicated that it has attack detection. It...
I use Avira and when I installed OSS it identified Avira and did not install the AV. It also gave me the option to not install some other modules....

Me too, it doesn't work. And I had just uninstalled it to install the newer version. >:( Edit: Man, they are making you jump through some hoops...

Nice :thumb:

It's sad that there are people like that. :(
Thanks I might take a look at it. :thumb:
True...Imagine if DefenseWall were built into Windows. ;D
You still have to know what you are doing or at least keep up with this stuff. Most common joe's don't know DefenseWall exist. I agree that...
There are some configuration changes you can make to Adobe Reader to make it more secure than it is out of the box. I have always used Adobe...
It wouldn't hurt my feelings a bit if we could get to the point that Flash is not needed anymore.
Yeah it's all in what you know. A computer can be well protected without an AV if you know what you are doing.
I have actually looked at the lifetime license. Not a bad deal. I might do that when the budget allows. :thumb:
Good point. I won't be downloading from them anymore. Just Softpedia and Major Geeks. It's sad to see a once great site go down the tubes like that.
Maybe he uses something like DefenseWall or Returnil.
Imaging is the way to go imo. Installing Windows and all your settings plus tweaks and updates can be very time consuming. If I restore an image I...
