You could try Autoruns and see if there is anything that looks like it might slow it down....

I had to download the full install for it to work. The web install kept hanging and wouldn't finish.
It did pretty good in the latest Matousec test. It even placed ahead of Outpost....
I wonder how deep the web goes. Is there some grand oasis we haven't found yet? :argh:

I was under the impression from things I have read that they already track everything.
I use Auslogics Disk Defrag and have had no issues so far. Have you tried adding it to the excludes for the proactive module?

I'm using the new version and can't tell any drag. In fact it actually seems a little bit faster.
I know it was Outpost in my case because I was able to reproduce the issue. I had to go back to a image because it hosed the system. I went back...

There is a very nasty conflict with Outpost and the latest Avira (at least on my system). I had to go back to Private Firewall. Keep that in mind...
Avira blocks it too. I just tried it and got an access denied from Avira.

That sounds good. PFW is a good Firewall there are just some things the developers need to address but it sounds like they are already on top of...
