How would the results of avast! Professional Edition compare to Home Edition only? The only real difference I would see would be the Script...
Thanks, man - appreciated. :) :thumb:
Seriously, it's just a name? Probably only so that it's easier to understand for those reading the release notes. ::)
I agree with avast!, but there are only three providers with the option to have Silent Mode, right? The others... I dunno... just work? :)
Wait... is this about their Norton Insight again? I thought they would prepare 2010 with their cloud-tech - is that what it's actually saying?
Well, that still wouldn't help if you got the same setup, right? It froze. :what:
If you read about Collective Intelligence, which should be quite visible BTW... you'll read that it's a part of all the 2009 products, and...
Reduced memory consumption? Geez... don't the companies ever learn that that hype is over and has to some extent been useless ever since the hype...
Most vendors lie with their comparisons, but I think Kaspersky takes the price. First they lie that they detected most in an AV-Comparatives...
I think I'll keep avast! for now as it works great from what it seems. ;) If unattended operation probs. does get fixed, I might change my mind. :)
If you go to the Resident Shield, you can tell it to automatically remove threats that are found by it - that's what I mean. :) I'm also not sure...
Wow - they're fast with the updates now, aren't they? ;D If the darned unattended mode wouldn't fail to take care of the threat in question...
Re: Anyone tried out Hitman Pro? Good to see Prevx is going strong too, and great results. Too bad it Prevx doesn't work as I prefer. :( :'( :)

Wow... that's even worse.
I knew these files were perfectly clean, but some companies (incl. you, sorry ;D :P) that tend to produce FPs - not meaning THAT incl. you -...
Thanks for the answer. ;) I've had both before. Won't go into Prevx - just read the mile-long thread for opinions, most positive, not my cup of...
Running Rising PC Doctor and testing CyberDefender made me wary of having security for updates of Microsoft to Windows and also any eventual USB...
Check my sig. from time to time... I've a feeling I'm gonna say this many times. :lurking: ;D
np, mate - thx for the answer. ;) So, does ProActive still block automatically if it's not in a list, or will that result in a prompt for the...
Yeah, sorry :D :P - but that's only for IE8, so I still guess there's a an incompatibility there, and I don't think there's a failed installation...
If it doesn't cause me trouble, I'll keep it as it's. Think about it... it would be the main web-defense even for AVG Free in that case. ;)
Re: Anyone tried out Hitman Pro? That's great to hear, Mark. Any comments on Panda Anti-Rootkit and possibly SAS and MBAM as engines? :)
See my sig. ;D Not been a fan till I got Silent Mode on. Seems to be working just fantastic, and probably the most full-featured, free AV out...
No worries, as long as it doesn't slow down a thing. ::) :)
