When I use AntiVir with PC Tools Firewall, the firewall lets everything out through Avira's proxy. Is there any way to stop that?
Funny because KIS has been the LEAST stable for me.
AntiVir's behavior blocker will become very strong, and FPs will be reduced Eset will merge to try to stay competitive Comodo's AV will be...
The behavior shield should add to detections when it is implemented.
Planning on using that when it comes out. :thumb:
Back to a NIS 2010/Prevx combo. Would try Avast or AntiVir again, but I don't like the 64-bit firewall options that would go with the AV.
Do I have to uninstall first? Because I tried the link in my e-mail to activate, but just got a blank screen when I submitted. Strange thing...
Hopefully there will be some movement, because how do we know how good it is without a beta test.
Well, I keep checking the beta forum and it seems like it's been forever that Vista users have been left out of the Proactive beta testing.
Same here on Win 7 64-bit. No events for behavior shield.
PC Tools firewall is working pretty well on my Windows 7 64-bit system. Am using it with Avast beta and Prevx.
Can't use it because it is still blocking and removing WeatherPulse as a suspicious file. Prevx took a look at it and this version at least seems...
I agree; they should fix it so that it at least can update.
It appears from the post before that Avast won't be using pulse updates.
It is detecting the new WeatherPulse file as a suspicious file. I assume this is a false positive? Here's the WeatherPulse site:...
Probably just is implementation - thanks. Without mentioning other AVs, in your experience, how does MSE's detection stack up overall?
Admittedly, some web scanners slow me down (Kaspersky's, Avira's, Panda's, BitDefender's), but I don't notice a slowdown with Avast's or Eset's....
I think you are correct.
I'd rather have a web scanner and have it blocked originally; if access is denied, there's no chance that it gets through. Plus, it blocks other...
Finally got my key. Web scanner, like many on the market, is slower than Avast's. But it is running nicely. I guess it will be between this and...
I use Keyscrambler and was having constant Prevx crashes with the previous version; will let you know if they continue.
Same here; seems to work more smoothly with each refresh.
Thanks; I sent you a PM since I got no e-mail.
I got no e-mail yet, even in spam. Could I really trust Panda's protection?
Avira's free servers don't have to be as fast as the Premium servers, but they should be reliable. Too bad there are these reports about updates...
