i dont think it is unethical because the project is a open source one.
loading time for isr is the major thing .... and nuisance it causes with major backup softwares.. space on windows is not a problem for me now...
n8chavez ,please upload the UBD4win iso as i get bsod on install... is there aany direct link of that iso file
drive snapshot is the fastest of imaging apps , so i would recommend u stick with it
Solution has been told above either use active@ boot disk or download a free windows live usb version from bartPE (it works on cd too............

best is drive snapshot , by a great margin , acronis TI- i hate it Shadow protect is excellent but still slow when compared to Drive Snapshot.
I have tested it, the incremental shadow mode feature is better than that of shadowuser (continues even during improper shut down),but the problem...

Imaging software:go for drive snapshot or Shadow protect but recovery is not instantaneous.
altiris svs does not support reboot softwares I think the best thing is to use shadow user ,but that software just does not have alternative...
