Re: windows onecare Crap, so much for outbound protection in my Vista rig....:'(
Re: windows onecare I was wondering, can onecare be custom installed w/o the AV? I would like to have the firewall w/Nod32.8)
Yep, but as NOD has shown---what goes up must come down!! lol!! 8)
You are right-----and my question still remains. Is it possible to optomise an av to ace these tests and be so-so for end users? Just wondering??
Got it --- Thanks!!!!:thumb:
Says not available yet???? or should i say ---- coming soon!!!
I did, but see NOD with an A+, which test did it drop?
Could you provide a link to that test? THANX!!!:thumb:
Let me word it differently. Can an av be "customised" to excel in testing, but be mediocre in the real world??
Another fine example!!!:thumb: So how good are these tests anyway? Is the real world excluded from the test setup??
Agreed; However, it is disheartening to hear ill of your AV app. I will say that since I left Norton years ago it has been smooth sailing for me,...
I need some help understanding how it is that I read a lot of posts about NOD32 missing malware and yet it seems to always be on top of the test...
Anyone tried McAfee's vista compatible solutions?? ;D Wondering how it would stack up against the current apps discussed?
That may-be true, but it looks so cool8) !!!!
Agreed, it runs well on my xp system. Looking to go to Vista business though.8)
Any word on how well it works with Vista????
I'll second that!!! Kis 6 runs very well on my laptop.. 8)
Only when asked to do so by the application, which is very rare.
Thanks----sounds like a winner!!!! ;)
Sounds like a plan!!!:thumb: ;D
I have played with sandboxie on my test machine, but really didn't quite like it. I also tried green boarder and it felt a little more polished....
Yea, that is probably what I will end up doing as well. Thanks :)
When you migrate to KIS6, will you add anything else to protect against those nasties?
Well, I for one really like how it runs on my notebook. I think you will be getting a top shelf product!!!:thumb:
;D fine then... No really I do appreciate any posts or reply s on this subject! I just want it known that I do not want to disable any features,...
